  1. Business and Homeowner Rules

Business Ownership

Business Ownership

A player may only own one business on one character. Occasionally, the staff will decide that there is a need for a staff person to temporarily own a second business to ensure the availability or resources in county. Businesses must be maintained and will be repossessed by the bank if the owner does not log in for 2 weeks or is not regularly active (at staff discretion) and not regularly stocked. You will be given a warning prior to the repossession.

Business owners may take a leave of absence by opening a ticket and a manager can be assigned to cover the business temporarily.

Stores

Business stores may only sell items that their business allows them to craft or harvest.

Player stores are available in certain cases - Ranches for example may request a store to sell their goods. If a player has a good business case for harvestables, they may open a ticket to request consideration for a player store.

Jobs

You may only have 2 business jobs plus as many government jobs as they wish. No one can own more than one business and owning a business counts as a job.

Your job should not give you access to materials that you need for another job. This is to create an economy that is interconnected and fair. Rule of thumb: If your JOB gives you materials or access to materials that you need for your other job or business, PLEASE OPEN A TICKET TO DISCUSS.

If you own a company, you cannot work at another business that gives you a distinct advantage. Examples are below but the list is not inclusive of all potential forbidden combinations. Rule of thumb, if your side job gives your business an advantage, it is not permitted:

  • The owner of a blacksmith cannot be employed at a gunsmith.

  • The owner of a gunsmith cannot be employed at a blacksmith..

  • Carpenter cannot work for a blacksmith.
