Value of Life
A core standard of quality roleplay is that each character must value their own life.
Quick Summary
Your character might be brave but they still must behave in a way that shows they value their own life, health and well being.
All characters must behave in a way that indicates they value their own life. The injuries your character receives hurt them and being incapacitated or unconscious, is harmful to them so they should avoid it as much as possible.
Friends and family members might bicker and throw the occasional punch. If you haven’t seen your friend in a very long time you might feel very affectionate, and give them a tackle hug. However , wrestling, punching, lassoing, shooting, are generally signs of aggression, and may be viewed and treated as such and in some cases may actually be against the law. Horseplay that ends in death would be considered Fail PR and is against the rules. We know accidents happen, but lets try and keep the horseplay to a realistic level of mayhem!
Citizens are prohibited from engaging in reckless behavior that could lead to the injury or death of their character or another Citizen or Local without a valid in-character reason
While engaged in RP scenarios, behave as though your life is most important. Fear for Life is meant to lay out how you engage in conflict, NOT to prevent you from being able to defend yourself.
If conflict arises, and you have no valid reason to engage, then you could:
Avoid: Avoid conflict if at all possible.
De-escalate: Try and prevent violence from arising
Defend yourself, but ensure there is significant RP reason to do so.
Failure to comply with the above rules would be considered Fail RP.
