Your Death & Injuries
Death and Dying, and Injuries
Your Death
There comes a time when every character meets their end- sometimes in a glorious fashion, and sometimes, it's tetanus.
Things to remember about death:
The player always has agency over the death of their character. No one can force you to perma kill your character with any RP or OOC action.
Death of your character can be conveyed through a number of emotes, statuses, and otherwise.
A Permadeath (or Perma) should be asked and then confirmed through whispers in chat, or in /me so this is logged as a CONFIRMED DECISION. (ex: 'Player 1- /me OOC: Perma?' 'Player 2- /me OOC: Yes, Perma' or 'No' Repeat the confirmation- a Second Confirmation is required.
The use of 'no pulse' does not confirm a death in Darraknoir, as we have many different magical beings who may not have a pulse!
Once the dead is confirmed, an Undertaker may be called. Avenues to discuss your end of life plans can be discussed either in DMs with your friends or via a ticket with other players, in the event of your untimely demise.
Wills don't exist- Once you are gone, your treasures go with you.
Injury to Death-- or not!
So, you took an arrow to the knee-- now what?
We've all been in that position where an unfortunate stray bullet, or arrow took off our character's head or limbs-- oops! Remember that it's actually up to YOU, the player, to determine your injuries-- you still must play out some sort of injury, but the extent of that injury is up to you. Simply because your character looks like they have lost their head, does not mean that you are dead.
Remember again; your death is up to you.
